Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Ihsan Coaching. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ihsancoaching.com (the “Site”) and any coaching, consultation, program, or workshop services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing the Site or booking Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our Services.

About Ihsan Coaching

Ihsan Coaching is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering online, faith-informed coaching and religious consultation to individuals and couples in the Muslim community, including Individual Coaching, Premarital Coaching, Marital Coaching, and Religious Consultation, as well as related programs and seminars.

Nature of Our Services

Our coaching services are educational and faith based. They are not a substitute for licensed psychotherapy, medical treatment, psychiatric care, or legal advice. Our coaches and consultants may hold relevant academic or professional credentials, which are listed on their profiles, but coaching sessions are not clinical treatment.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, or need emergency medical care, please contact your local emergency services immediately or go to your nearest emergency room. We are not equipped to provide crisis intervention.

If, based on what you share, a coach believes you would benefit from licensed clinical care, we may recommend you seek that care in addition to or instead of coaching.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book Services on your own behalf. Individuals under 18 may participate only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian and completion of our Under 18 Waiver.

No Counseling

Ihsan Coaching offers coaching services only, and does not offer mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or any other type of state-regulated mental health service. Although a life coach may be licensed to practice mental health counseling or psychotherapy elsewhere, he or she is not doing so through Ihsan Coaching.

Booking, Scheduling & Cancellations

Sessions are booked through our online scheduling system or by contacting our team directly.

We ask that you reschedule or cancel sessions at least 24 hours in advance where possible. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to our cancellation policy, which will be communicated to you at the time of booking. We reserve the right to reschedule sessions due to coach availability, with as much advance notice as reasonably possible.

Fees & Payment

Fees for coaching and consultation services are listed on our Site or communicated to you prior to booking, and are subject to change with notice.
Interest-free payment plans may be available for eligible services, as indicated at checkout. 

All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.
As a nonprofit, we may offer reduced-fee or sponsored sessions in certain circumstances at our discretion; availability is not guaranteed and is not a right of any client.

  • $50 of the fee for each session reflects the costs of booking the appointment and the time the coach spends in preparation for the session; this portion is non-refundable.
  • Cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice — the remainder of the fee is refundable.
  • Cancel within 48 hours of the appointment — you’ll be charged the full amount.
  • No-show — your coach will wait the entire session for you; the full fee is then collected.

Package

If you purchase a package deal, you have 2 months to book the remaining sessions, beginning immediately after you schedule your first session. Any sessions remaining after that window are forfeited. After the first session has been conducted, the remaining portion of the package fee is non-refundable.

Confidentiality & Its Limits

We take the privacy of what you share in sessions seriously, as described in our Privacy Policy. However, confidentiality in a coaching relationship is not absolute. We (or your coach) may need to break confidentiality and disclose information, without your prior consent, in situations including:

  • When there is a reasonable belief of imminent risk of serious harm to yourself or another person.
  • When there is a reasonable belief of abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult — in which case your coach may be required to notify the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, or the analogous agency in your state of residence.
  • When required to do so by a court order, subpoena, or other legal obligation.
  • When necessary to protect the safety of our staff or the public.
  • If you leave a bad review, we have the right to defend ourselves and our reputation.

Where possible and appropriate, we will attempt to discuss any such disclosure with you first.

Client Responsibilities

By using our Services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when booking and during sessions
  • Attend sessions in a private, distraction-free setting where confidentiality can reasonably be maintained on your end
  • Treat coaches, consultants, and staff with respect; we reserve the right to end a session or discontinue Services in cases of abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior
  • Understand that outcomes of coaching depend on your own engagement and circumstances, and that we do not guarantee specific results

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, course materials, and recordings — is the property of Ihsan Coaching or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

Acceptable Use of the Site

You agree not to use the Site to: violate any applicable law; transmit harmful code or malware; attempt unauthorized access to our systems; or interfere with the proper functioning of the Site.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Acknowledgement and Release of Liability

I, on behalf of myself (and my child or ward, if the session is for anyone under the age of 18), do hereby fully release and discharge Ihsan Coaching and their agents and employees from any and all liability, claims, and causes of action from damages or loss which we may have or which may accrue to us on account of implementing recommendations suggested by Ihsan Coaching during any coaching session. I (and my parents or guardians, if I am under 18) alone am empowered and in the best position to apply coaching recommendations in my own life, and I recognize Ihsan Coaching may not understand the circumstances of each situation as well as I do. This is a complete and irrevocable release and waiver of liability.

Specifically, and without limitation, I hereby release Ihsan Coaching and the life coach from any liability, claim, or cause of action arising out of their individual or collective negligence, and covenant not to sue Ihsan Coaching and/or the life coach for any alleged liabilities, claims, or causes of action released hereunder. This release allows us to maintain lower prices and avoid expensive and unnecessary insurance policies.

Indemnification

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Ihsan Coaching and/or the life coach from any and all claims resulting from damages or loss, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with my implementation of lessons learned during coaching sessions with Ihsan Coaching. We want to empower you to make the best decisions, and taking responsibility for your actions is part of that empowerment.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site or Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to Ihsan Coaching, its staff, or other clients. You may discontinue Services at any time, subject to our cancellation and fee policies.

Mediation, Arbitration, and Choice of Law

In the unlikely event of any dispute with Ihsan Coaching or a life coach, you agree to mediation of up to 4 hours with an Islamic scholar selected by Ihsan Coaching, and thereafter to binding arbitration in the Greater Chicago area in front of a board of up to three Islamic scholars, as selected by Ihsan Coaching in its sole discretion. In each case, the Islamic scholars must have recognized qualifications in Ifta’ according to one of the four juristic methodologies — Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, or Hanbali — of Islam. Scholars shall be compensated for their time equally by you and Ihsan Coaching in the event of a settlement, or by the non-prevailing side in the event of a unilateral decision.

Mediation and/or arbitration may be attended remotely by Ihsan Coaching, its consultants, and/or agents, and you agree to waive any right to in-person mediation and/or arbitration. These Terms are governed by the law of the State of Illinois, without regard to its choice of law provisions. Any action to enforce an arbitration award shall be brought in a court of law in DuPage County, Illinois.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time, updates will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Acknowledgement

I have read and fully understand the Terms & Conditions, including the Acknowledgement and Release of Liability and Indemnification set forth above, including the release of all claims, including claims for any negligence by Ihsan Coaching and/or a life coach.

I am 18 years old or older, or a parent or guardian of a client under the age of 18. I hereby acknowledge that I have read and understand the above terms and conditions of service, and agree that booking an appointment is an acknowledgment of my agreement.
